Pokédex-Slowbro

Slowbro is the 80th pokémon. It weighs 173.1 lbs. and is 5'03" tall.
Slowbro evolves from Slowpoke at level 37, not by having a Shellder bite a Slopokes tail like in the Anime.

Pokédex

Red/Blue-The Shellder that latches onto Slowpoke's tail is said to feed on the host's leftover scraps.

Yellow-Lives lazily by the sea. If the Shellder on its tail comes off, it becomes a Slowpoke again.

Gold-If the tail-biting Shellder is thrown off in a harsh battle, it reverts to being an ordinary Slowpoke.

Silver-Naturally dull to begin with, it lost its ability to feel pain due to Shellder's seeping poison.

Crystal-An attached Shellder won't let go because of the tasty flavor that oozes out of its tail.

Ruby/Sapphire- Slowbro's tail has a Shellder firmly attached with a bite. As a result, the tail can't be used for fishing anymore. This causes Slowbro to grudgingly swim and catch prey instead.

Emerald-Its tail has a Shellder firmly attached with a bite. As a result, the tail can't be used for fishing anymore. This forces it to reluctantly swim and catch prey.

FireRed-When a Slowpoke went hunting in the sea, its tail was bitten by a Shellder. That made it evolve into Slowbro.

LeafGreen-The Shellder that latches onto Slowpoke's tail is said to feed on the host's

Diamond/Pearl/Platinum-Though usually dim witted, it seems to become inspired if the
Shellder on its tail bites down.

Spiky-Eared Pichu

Because of the Arceus movie that aired tonight, I'm doing this article on the Spiky-Eared Pichu.

In the movie I'm not sure about its role at all, but in the game it is actually quite a cool mechanic. If you get the shiny Pichu, known as the Pikachu Coloured Pichu, and trade it to your Heartgold or Soulsilver game, you will be able to unlock the Spiky-Eared Pichu. With the PCP in your party, go to the shrine in Ilex Forest, and this special pichu will appear. When this happens, the SEP will automatically join your party.

There are some disappointing things about the Spiky-Eared Pichu, though. You cannot trade it and you cannot evolve it. The game explains why this is when you take it to Professor Elm: Celebi's time travel took this special Pichu from its time to the present. And because of the time traveling that it's gone through, its body is stuck as it is.

Another thing that makes this Pichu special is that it has attacks that a normal Pichu doesn't know. Here they are: Volt Tackle, Helping Hand, Pain Split, Swagger.

Heartgold and Soulsilver: Starter Pokemon

As with any Pokemon game in the original series, you get a choice of three starter pokemon. In this one, just like in Gold and Silver, you get the choice of Cyndaquil, Totodile and Chikorita.

Now you can get the original starters from Kanto, Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. They way you obtain these is by obtaining all sixteen badges, eight from Johto and eight from Kanto, and defeat Red, you can talk to Professor Oak and you get a choice of the three.

The last of the starters you can obtain are the three from Hoenn. In order to get one of these you've got to defeat Red in Mt. Silver. Afterward go find Steven Stone in the Silph Co. building and he will congratulate you with one of those starters.

Make sure that when you choose your starters to get the best of each! (Fire types, by the by)

The results of the poll were pretty boring. We got 14 votes and a Steel type won with 3 votes. Make sure that you vote on our new poll to the right.

Pokedex-Arceus

I thought that today being the beginning of the Arceus Event at Toys R Us, I figured I would do an article on The All Powerful Arceus. Arceus is known as the "Orginal One" and to have created the Pokemon Universe. It created Dialga, therefore creating the flow of time. It created Palkia, therefore creating Space. It Created Giratina to control the Distortion World. It created the Lake Guardians Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf therefore creating knowledge, emotion, and willpower. In the Upcoming Pokemon movie Arceus and the Jewel of Life ,Arceus is angry at the world and tries to ruin the world(I've heard this is a really good movie) In the New card set Platinum:Arceus

You are allowed to have as many arceus cards in your deck as you like. With it's multitype ability, it can change it's type to whatever plate it is holding, and if it uses its signature move, Judgment, it will be whatever type of plate its holding. This is a very fun pokemon and I hope you go to Toys R Us to get this great pokemon. As a bonus, If the Arceus you receive from Toys R Us is traded to Heartgold or Soulsilver versions, it will unlock a special event where Arceus will create an egg of Dialga,Palkia,or Giratina for you.

Pokedex's
Diamond-It is described in mythology as the Pokémon that shaped the universe with its 1,000 arms.
Pearl-It is told in mythology that this Pokémon was born before the universe even existed.
Platinum-It is said to have emerged from an egg in a place where there was nothing, then shaped the world.

POP 9

The POP 9 card set was given out for prizes for Pokemon leagues in March 2009 through September 2009 but they can still be found at some leagues and in some blister packs and other card boxes and tins. This set is fun because all the cards work together, for example one of the buizel card's attack is Super Fast which says
If you have Pachirisu in play, flip a coin. If heads, prevent all effects of an attack, including damage, done to Buizel during your opponent's next turn.
See If you have Pachirisu in play so then one of the Pachirisu card's card attacks is Poison Berry-
If you have Croagunk in play, this attack does 20 damage plus 20 more damage and the Defending Pokémon is now Poisoned.
Most of the cards work together like this except a few which are Regigigas, Manaphy, Garchomp, Gabite, And Gible. Its a fun premise and very creative.
Here is a list of all the cards from POP 9.
No.
1 Garchomp
2 Manaphy
3 Raichu
4 Regigigas
5 Rotom
6 Buizel
7 Croagunk

Site Changes

Right now I'm working on making the site look and work well. I've added a few new features, my favorite being the banner on top. I just think it looks incredibly awesome and retro.
A useful thing that I put on the right is the "Section" viewer. All of the articles/post things are categorized into those few sections and you are able to click on one to choose whichever one you want to view.
The most recent addition is the Poll on the side. Just like any interactive site should have, you can vote on the current topic that Lime Face or myself choose to put up there. Please vote at your leisure.
If there are any other things that you think should be added onto this little section of the internet, please feel free to leave a comment on this or any other post.

Distortion World

The Distortion World is a strange place. Time does not flow, and space does not work right. You can walk and surf on walls. Objects such as trees and rocks will vanish and appear at random.
This location is only in Platinum version and is where Giratina only resides in its Origin form, (unless it is holding the Griseous Orb.) The leader of Team Galactic, Cyrus, is taken to the Distortion World by Giratina when he awakens Dialga and Palkia. It is a fun and puzzling place in Platinum version. It really shows the 3-D graphics of a pokemon game with all the moving stuff and the waterfall, and even giratina has good detail.I had a lot of fun with it.

Next Pokemon TCG Set

The next set that is going to be available in America is called LEGEND: Heartgold and Soulsilver. This new set has a few new features added.
First off is the new cards called Legend Cards, as shown in this article. They are massive cards that use two cards to make one Pokemon. Because of their unique nature you cannot play them during set up and most likely you will only be able to have four halves (or two whole cards) in your deck at any given time.
Next are the Great Pokemon cards. These cards are said to "specialize in battling". As of now they have no special conditions attached to them., just evolve them as you would any other card.
We've now got a new type of card called "Good" cards. This is the Japanese name for items. Not much difference there, but its made to clear up any confusion about any actual "Trainer" cards and Trainer cards.
I'm actually excited for this new set with the Legend Cards. It seems to me that those will add a completely new element to the game. Let's hope that it will be a much more fun set than those in previous times. Casey is a really freaky looking guy
